Harmony

This illustrated gif was created as a way to learn the basics of 2D animation. The concept of this piece was to capture the essence of harmony. I thought a meditating Buddha statue amidst a flowing tranquil waterfall represents this concept perfectly.

The illustration was created completely using Adobe Photoshop. I wanted to create a contrast between the flowing water and the stillness of the statue. Each movement of water is drawn in a different layer and then animated in sequential order frame by frame within the Photoshop program.
